Dr Jagdeep Verma is presently working as Assistant Professor of Botany at Sardar Patel University, Mandi (Himachal Pradesh). He did his MPhil (University Medal) and PhD from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and his research interests include pure and applied taxonomy and ecological assessment of plant species. Having more than two decades of teaching and research experience, he has guided two PhD and two MPhil students. He has one book and more than forty research papers to his credit. He has presented papers in several National and International Seminars/ Conferences, and is recipient of three Best Poster Awards and one Best Oral Presentation Award.
Dr Verma remained Head of the Department of Botany at SILB (Solan), Member of Content Development Committee, Directorate of Distance Education, IKG Punjab Technical University (Jalandhar), Member of Board of Studies, IKG Punjab Technical University (Jalandhar), and Reviewer of research manuscripts in many reputed Journals. He is Life Member of Him Science Congress Association (HSCA) and The Orchid Society of India (TOSI).
